Copyright and infringement notices

Draft: this text is being reviewed and may change before launch.

What FlickX is

FlickX Player is a media player. It does not include, host, sell or recommend any channels, films, series or playlists, and it is not affiliated with any content provider. Users add their own sources, such as a home media server or a playlist they are licensed to use. Our terms forbid using FlickX to watch content without permission.

Reporting infringement

If you believe FlickX, this website, our app listings, or a FlickX device infringe your copyright or other rights, send a notice to [email protected] or through Contact. Please include:

  • your name, organisation (if any) and contact details, and whether you act for the rights holder;
  • the work or right concerned;
  • what you believe infringes it, as precisely as you can: a URL on our site, a listing, or the MAC address of a FlickX device;
  • why you believe the use is not authorised;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you make it in good faith.

What we do

  • We confirm receipt and review every complete notice, normally within [5] working days.
  • Material on our own website or listings that infringes is removed.
  • FlickX does not host streams, so we cannot remove content from a third-party server. Where a notice shows that a FlickX device is used to infringe, we may suspend or end that device’s licence under section 3 of the terms, after informing the user where the law allows.
  • We keep a record of notices and the action taken.

If your device was suspended

If you believe a suspension is a mistake, reply to our message or contact us with your MAC address and an explanation. We review it and lift the suspension where it was not justified.

Misuse of this process

Please only send notices about rights you hold or represent. Notices that are clearly unfounded or abusive may be ignored.
